Feels Like Summer

It feels like summer. If your summer has consisted of frigid morning dips near Canada or regattas across the North Sea. It it quite chilly here in Oudega and the trip to stow away the two sail boats was a good one but also slightly numbing. I was dressed the same as I was aboard the Eendracht, minus a layer or two underneath my coat. Wouter and I sailed the Emma W, while Jan and Tineke sailed in the Johnny Sailor. Te wind was steady and firm and the sun was out making the journey less gloomy. The air and water were dogs though. Any part of your body not covered turned red in the cold.

It took the most of the afternoon and evening but we made it to the winter haven and dismantled both boats for the most part. Tomorrow we have a few final preparations to make. As a reward for the long day of sailing we ate out. I chose the mixed grill, which came with soup and a desert of apple pie and ice cream.

Once we returned to the camp site it was time to play Ticket To Ride. I placed third after mistaking exchanging the wrong objective card and didn't realize it until I had already made it half way to the other objective. Tineke was first, followed by jan, and due to back luck and blocks by other players Wouter was in last place.

I was not able to take any photos today but I think Tineke has a few.
