17 Jaar

Ik ben jarig vandaag en ik ben 17 jaar. Het is een niet zo bijzonder jaar. Tussen rijden & drinken, en stemming & volwassenheid. Mijn plan is hard werk, veel gezelligheid, en vriendschappen. Ik hoop om terug naar Amerika te gaan met de ervaring en kennis te maak High School af. Ik weet dat dar zijn misschien slecht tijden, maar ik weet ook dat dar zijn hoog punten. Groter dan al van de slecht tijden.

Bij school iedereen was heel aardig met Gefeliciteerd en hand trekken. Mijn herkansing ging goed en ook koken was herlijk. Met hulp van Tineke heb ik een rijs dish met kip, spinazie, kerrie, champignons, casheuwnoten, en natuurlijk uien. Dan Jelle en ik hebben Tron: Legacy bekeken. De film is nooit genoeg. Met een soundtrack bij Daft Punk, en geweldig animatie. Ook voor mijn verjaardag heb ik gekregen (andere dan een hundred of zo berichten op Facebook)15 euro van mijn Opa, en een Regen jas van mijn vader. Helaas heb ik een nog steeds dat is nog goed, en waterdicht. Dus de nieuw jas moet wachten.

It's my birthday today, and I am 17 years old. It is a not so special year. It is the year between being able to drive (and drink in Holland), and becoming an official member of society. For me, 17 will be a year of hard work in and out of school. To return to the United States with the knowledge and experience to carry me the rest of the way through Highschool. With another language and with more friends than ever. I will have a new perspective, and ethic. With my 17th year I plan on also putting more fun into my life, through my passions of music, sport, and friendship. As with every year I know 17 will have it's downs, but I also know there will be highs that overcast all the lows! Let this year be one of exploration, excitement, education, entertainment and ethic!

At school everyone was really nice with congratulating me and shaking my hand. My retake went well, and so did cooking! Which was delicious! With help from Tineke I made a rice dish with chicken, curry, mushrooms, spinach, cashews, and of course onions. Then Jelle and I watched Tron: Legacy. The film never is enough. With a soundtrack by Daft Punk, and amazing animations. Also for my birthday I have received (other than a hundred messages on Facebook) 15 euros from my Grandfather, and a rain jacket from my father. Unfortunately for the rain jacket I already have one that works perfectly. So the new one will have to wait on stand by.
